TIGHITCO, Inc. is an industry leader in the design, fabrication, and assembly of engineered components for aerospace and industrial applications. Responsibilities

  • Able to work in an organized fashion in a fast pace environment.
  • Able to efficiently track and follow up on open purchase orders with suppliers to support the organization needs.
  • Issuing Request-for-Quotation (RFQ), handling Quotes,
  • Issuing of Purchase Orders and handling Returns-to-Vendor (RTV) and Return Material Authorizations (RMA)
  • Maintaining and procuring all materials and hardware to support production as listed on the “Generated Suggestion” program in Epicor for all immediate requirements and as forecast scheduled for the next three months.
  • Negotiate with sub-contract vendors and suppliers to achieve the lowest price with the quickest turn around and shortest lead time possible.
  • Obtain price and delivery on all purchased items with quotes from a minimum of three suppliers when directed or required and negotiate the best price and delivery possible.
  • Flowing down accurate engineering requirements and material specifications including current revisions, quality requirements and certifications in the purchase order to the supplier.
  • Coordinating and properly issuing travelers, drawings, tooling and the Purchase Orders to the vendor.
  • Following-up on all open purchase orders and expediting whenever and wherever possible to meet Production Schedules.
  • Utilizing any or all cost saving methods when buying, such as blanket orders, LTA’s, EOQ or min/max reorder points.
  • Ensure that all RTPs contain proper General Ledger (G/L) codes, are approved and signed by the Director of Procurement and / or Finance / General Manager in accordance to the Purchase Order Approval Limits.          
  • Responsible for the receipt of the proper C of C’s with the material or service.
  • Maintain updated vendor information in the procurement database system, including maintaining appropriate supplier certification within the Approved Supplier List (ASL).
  • Follows-up and amends “Zero Dollar” Purchase Orders and makes the necessary adjustments needed to reconcile all Purchase Order Variances with Accounting.
  • Responsible for reviewing and ordering from an Advanced Bill of Materials (ABOM).
  • Develop manufacturing process (Bill of Materials & Traveler) for sheet metal and composite parts fabrication to customer requirements per customer supplied data (drawing, mylars and tooling).  Must meet job release deadlines.
  • Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
  • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and process specifications.

  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Should have knowledge of Epicor software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software is required. 
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-pace environment

Education and/or Experience:

Associate degree or 5 years in purchasing related experience. 

 

Supervisory Responsibility:

None required for this role.

Pay Range

USD $58,240.00 - USD $76,960.00 /Yr.
